Obituary published on Legacy.com by S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, Inc. on Jan. 28, 2026.
George R. Draney, 76, of Nutley, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026. Born in Carbondale, PA., George was the devoted son of the late Catherine (Murgia) Kingery. He was a dear brother of Deborah Santoro and her husband Steve, and Jacqueline D'Antuono and her husband Joseph. Beloved uncle of Steven Troy Santoro, Cara Ann Lenti (Santoro) and her husband Kevin, Dillon D'Antuono and his fiancé Bianca Scaglione and Dean D'Antuono.

George was a long-time resident of Nutley, a town that he loved. He enjoyed daily walks in the park where he would always meet up with friends. He was a free-lance photographer, avid hiker and traveler as well as a loving caregiver to family. Photography was his passion and his gift for capturing the beauty of nature was exceptional. George was an award-winning photographer, and his gorgeous artwork will be a profound reminder of his great talent.

George was deeply loved and his warmth and wonderful sense of humor will be forever remembered.

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home on Saturday, January 31, at 10:30am, followed by interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.

Simpler fun times with our very talented cousin George! (New Year's Eve, 1960) Good memories!
Thank you for the amazingly stunning photographs you took and gifted to our parents and us. You really knew how to capture beauty and emotion in a single frame. Creativity, compassion and humor were your gifts.
We wish you peace!
