George Daniel Ealey, aged 82, of Fairborn, OH, passed away, Friday, December 12, 2025. He was born on May 24, 1943, in Calloway, County, KY, the son of the late Paul Revere and Anna Ruth (Tucker) Ealey.
George dedicated his life to his family, the love of the outdoors, and serving his country. To those who knew George he became known as the family's historian, passionately delving into the intricacies of his family tree, particularly during the 1990s and early 2000s. His dedication to preserving his family’s history was just one testament to the deep love and pride he held for his family.
An avid outdoorsman, George loved planning and embarking on backpacking adventures. He found joy hiking through the snow, rain, and sun, with the Appalachian Trail holding a special place in his heart. His enthusiasm for the natural world inspired all those around him to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors. George maintained the adventurous spirit that had defined his life, especially alongside his in-law, Royce Evans, with whom he shared a remarkable bond, dreaming of adventures together well into their later years.
A devoted family man, George was deeply proud of his four sons, pouring his love and energy into nurturing and supporting them throughout their lives. His legacy extends further through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and fulfillment.
In addition to his role within the family, George was active in his faith community. His involvement with the Bristol Road Church of Christ in Flint, MI, during his younger years showcased his commitment to serving others.
George Daniel Ealey leaves behind a profound legacy built on love, adventure, and the bonds of family.
In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael Ealey; sister, Marilyn (William “Bud”) Avery; devoted family & friend, Royce Evans. He is survived by his wife of 60+ years, Marlena K. (Rudolph) Ealey; four sons, Daniel Allan (Kelly) Ealey, Andrew Scott Ealey, Wayne Lowell (Melinda) Ealey, Jason Edward (Tabatha) Ealey; seven grandchildren, Eric Paul, Brittany (Easton), Christopher, Megan (Ross), Dylan (Zoë), Deric, Erin; one great-grandson, Luke; one great-great-grandson, Milo; as well as extended family.
