Professor Farris was my Mentor & PhD Dissertation Director in the fields of Technology & Innovation Management and Organization Behavior.
Am Autistic and Professor Farris adeptly supported and guided me through many, many challenges to become the 1st part-time PhD graduate in his Rutgers program. I learned so much from him and still think of him, and his many teachings and subtle insights. Was a difficult student, but George stood by me including as my guest speaker at Kimberly-Clark in Wisconsin.
Am a Chemist, but George taught me to understand the basics and value of behavioral sciences which greatly helped me understand Autism, people, organizations, and of course management. As examples, I learned behavior is a function of genes and environment, time pressure and high performers, innovation, measuring causality, and patience.
Professor Farris changed my Life!
