George Fox, 75, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A funeral service to honor George’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 23rd at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock, officiated by Pastor Harry Bryan. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Forest Oaks Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. The service will remain on the Funeral Home website for 90 days.
George was born on May 21, 1949, in Key West, Florida, to the late Frank and Cecilia Fox. After completing high school, he honorably served his country in the United States Army. Throughout his life, George was actively involved in his community as a former Mason and a dedicated member of the New Bern Shriners Hospital.
In his leisure time, George enjoyed riding his golf cart with his beloved dogs by his side. He valued the company of family and friends, always appreciating the connections he made throughout his life.
Above all, George will be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather, whose love for his family knew no bounds.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his son, Timothy Fox (Candice) of Beaufort, NC; sisters, Eleanor Nichols (Joe) of Wittman, AZ, and Susie Honea (Michael) of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Aaron Moore Jr., Khloe Moore, Timothy Fox Jr., Levi Fox, and Parker Fox; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Mary Billé; special friends, Angela Ross and Veronica Ham; his furry friends, his cats, Susie, Bonnie, Pickles, and JoJo and faithful dog, Diesel.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashleigh Fox; brother, Frank Fox; and granddaughter, Ashleigh Rose; and his dog, Dixie.
