George Edward "Eddie" Gaudet, proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, 88, of Burlington, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025.

Born in Cambridge, Eddie was one of five children of the late William and Dorothy (Gunn) Gaudet. He grew up in Billerica and was a proud graduate of Billerica High School.

Eddie worked for many years at the Esso gas station in Burlington with owner, Jack Kilmartin. It was here that he met the love of his life, Doris, and it was love at first sight. George always held deep appreciation for his time at Esso, and the many joys it brought to his life. He later went on to work as an HVAC service technician with several area companies, where his strong work ethic and mechanical skill earned him the respect of both colleagues and customers. Most recently, Eddie worked for John Cunningham at JC Heating and Air Conditioning, and enjoyed the rest of his career there until his retirement.

From an early age, Eddie discovered a love for ice skating, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. He also had a lifelong enthusiasm for cars, particularly his prized 1958, banana yellow Corvette, which he loved to drive and show as a member of several local car clubs. Most recently, Eddie was an active member of the Caballero Car & Custom Club, a group which held a special place in his heart.

On November 6, 1962, Eddie married the love of his life, Doris Marie (Duke) Gaudet. Together they shared a wonderful life filled with love, laughter, travel, and devotion to family. They were blessed with two daughters, Lisa and Kimberly.
After Doris's passing, Eddie found comfort and companionship among his close-knit circle of friends who met daily at Dunkin' Donuts to share coffee, stories, and fond memories. He was also an avid reader and a devoted member of Abundant Life Church in Wilmington, where he actively participated in Bible Study and Fellowship.

In addition to his wife, Eddie was predeceased by his four siblings, William Gaudet, Ann Conlon, Dorothy McIntosh and Fred Gaudet.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Gaudet Kilpatrick of Burlington and Kimberly Ann Blackman and her husband Peter of Englewood, FL, his grandchildren, Casey Mayer and her wife Shawna, Keighley Boonham and her husband Victor, Peter Edward Blackman, Michael Blackman, Zachary Kilpatrick and his fiancée Katy Houghton, his great grandchildren, Camille Mickens, and Graham Boonham, his best friend Tony Paone, and his Dunkin friends Jack Auclair, Ralph Checo, Angelo Diminico, John Ferrera, Carl Gerbrands, Joan Holland, Gary Josepson, Eric & Beth Mollenhauer, and Brian & Judy Osborne. Eddie was also cared for on many occasions by Linda Josephson, a devoted nurse at the Bedford Veterans Affairs hospital and the wife of his close friend, Gary Josephson. Her kindness and compassion left a lasting impression on him and our family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 19th at 6:30 pm at Abundant Life Church, 173 Church Street, Wilmington, MA.
Contributions in his memory may be made to Tunnels to Towers at t2t.org.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, Burlington. For obituary, on-line guestbook, and memorial video see sullivanfuneralhome.net.
