George "Georgie" Joseph Williams

George Williams, also known as “Georgie”, entered into eternal rest Wednesday March 5,2025 at the age of 64. He was born to Barbara Williams and John Watson on July 30th, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

George took pride in being a hardworking man and he dedicated his life to his military career and family. He served in the U.S Army for 22 years and retired as a SSG E6. George has always been proud of his military career where he served in Dessert Storm as well as Iraq, Afghanistan and Korea. George loved watching sports, coaching his children, and eating good food.

George will be deeply missed by his wife of 34 years Jacqueline Williams, 5 children, Quindel Pressley, Nicholas Williams, Christopher Williams, Danielle Galloway (Akeem Galloway), and Michelle Brinson (Darrius Brinson), 8 grandchildren Shaniya Baker, Suri Baker, Royalyn Williams, Kennedy Williams, Jayceon Galloway, Omari Galloway, Jahmir Galloway and Aunna Brinson and his 1 great-grandchild, Cai’Lee Scott, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laugh, and unwavering love for his family.
