George Gillett Obituary
George Crawford Gillett, Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 24, 2026 following an extended illness.
George was born on March 27, 1937 in Corpus Christi, Texas to George C. and Julia (Bowles) Gillett, Sr. He was one of 4 sons they raised. George proudly served our country in the US Navy and was in Vietnam. He was a Public Affairs officer and had his Masters Degree. He was married to Wanda (Paulk) and they together raised their three children.
He was preceded in death by his parents George Sr and Julia; his wife Wanda, his daughter Kathy and two brothers Walter and Charles.
Survivors include his son Gary (Jennifer) Gillett of Beeville and Terri Lynn Gillett and Paul Douget of Beeville. He has one brother Paul Edward Gillett of Euless, Texas.
He was Blessed with 5 grandchildren; Kasey (Rob) Tobin, Caleb White, Kevin (Becca) Gillett, Christina (Jacob) Bonnell and Kristen Redding.
Memorial Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 6, 2026 at 10 AM at the La Esperanza Church in George West, Texas
Burial will follow in the Three Rivers Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the united Veterans Burial Association.
