George Richard Ginzel, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away in his home on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Born in Detroit, Michigan on October 17, 1934, to Helen and George Ginzel, George and his surviving twin brother, Joseph both enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 18. His time in the Air Force led George to meeting his adoring wife, Dolores, of 60 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores, children: Natalie (Dave) Steiner and Richard (Rene) Ginzel; grandchildren, Joseph Wrobel, Sarah Hay, Rachel Guzman, and Jacob Wrobel. He also has 3 great grandsons-Zander, Trinnean, and Liam. His twin brother Joseph (Dorothy) Ginzel, and Dale Ginzel; sisters, Patsy (Dennis) Sydney and Betty (LaBron) Parton. George was proceeded in death by parents, George and Helen Ginzel; two brothers brothers Butch Ginzel and Jerry Ginzel. George was a man of integrity, faith, and love.
He was dedicated to serving and loving others, which was obvious by the way he cared for everyone he encountered, and the way he took care of his family. He knew no stranger, and his generosity knew no bounds. Always there with a helping hand and a loving heart, George was a light in this world, impacting everyone he met. He will be severely missed, and tremendously cherished in this world.
Rosary, 10am, and Funeral Mass, 10:30am, Tuesday, January 14, BOTH at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church 11000 SW BLVD, Wichita, KS 67215.
