George Hewitt Cloud was born February 2, 1961, in Donalsonville, GA, the son of Bobby & Dorothy “Dot” Kennedy Cloud. He worked in maintenance at Miller County Hospital until his retirement. George attended Donalsonville First Church of the Nazarene.
Always one to tinker and always on the move. George enjoyed working in his shop and fine tuning his sawmill. Woodworking projects were stacked on the table brimming with ideas for the next endeavor. George loved to talk and often included tales of his grandchildren. (His sense of humor woven into every conversation made the story line even more entertaining.) The best memories included riding the golf cart, four-wheeler, or tractor “George-splaining” how things worked.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Anna Freeman Cloud; his children, Ana-Alicia Cloud (Dustin) and Tiffany Mills (John); his grandchildren, Gavin, Cameron, Brandon & Layla, and Elijah; his great-grandchild, Gunnar; his siblings, Alice Freeman, Betty Day, Debra Knight (Ronnie), Wendy Velez (Julio), and Kenneth Loyd (Dee); and a host of extended family. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his siblings, Dewitt Cloud and Sandy DeLeon.
