George Harpst Obituary
George Harpst, age 85, of Belmont passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024. He was born on July 22, 1938 in Grand Rapids, MI to George and Carrie Harpst. George enjoyed spending time with family and friends at upper Silver Lake, woodworking and gardening. George is survived by his daughters Gayle (Ron) Peterson of Nunica and Pamela (Mack) Randall of Grand Rapids; his grandson Cody Peterson and his brother Gary (Kathy) Harpst. He was preceded in death in 2021 by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth, his parents and his brother, Chuck Harpst. Funeral services for George will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Pederson Funeral Home 127 N. Monroe St., Rockford, MI 49341. The family will meet with relatives and friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home. A private family interment will take place at Blythefield Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 129 Jefferson Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
