George Heinrich Obituary

George Heinrich
MOULTONBOROUGH --- George Philip "Bud" Heinrich passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2025. He was in the place he loved most-his home on Lake Winnipesaukee, which he referred to as Paradise.
Bud was born in Norwalk, CT, on July 29, 1941, to Virginia Streit and George William Heinrich. He spent his childhood in Wilton, CT, and was a 1959 graduate of Wilton High School. Bud went on to graduate from Wentworth Institute of Technology with an associate degree in mechanical engineering.
Bud was a mechanical genius who could disassemble, reassemble, and fix just about anything. Over the years, old machinery often followed him home, and he amassed a collection of tractors, tools, jeeps, and even a firetruck. He and his wife Mackie (predeceased in 2015) built a successful screen-printing business, Heinrich Ceramic Decal, with well over 100 employees at its peak. Bud was a recognized industry expert and recipient of the Frank S. Child Award in 2000 for his achievements in the field of ceramic and glass decorating.
Bud leaves behind his wife of almost two years, Dorothy Maxwell. Her love and compassion built a home for Bud over the last years of his life. He is also survived by his two siblings, Phyllis Cass of Wellington, ME, and Paul Heinrich of West Palm Beach, FL. His legacy lives on through his four children: Tony Espy of Somerville, MA; Cindie Donahue and her husband, Bill, of San Antonio, FL; David Espy and his fiancée, Beth, of Princeton, MA; and Cathy Currier and her husband, Jay, of Colchester, VT. And of course, the pride of his later years were his grandchildren: Cameron, Theo, and Thomas of Princeton, MA; Will of Colchester, VT; and Matt and Ginny of San Antonio, FL. In addition to Mackie, Bud was also predeceased by his first wife, Anne, and daughter, Carol Elizabeth.
For those of us left behind, Bud will be remembered for his quick wit, occasional temper, and unconditional love. He was an unwavering source of guidance and practical, no-nonsense advice. While we're not sure who we will turn to now when a pipe leaks or the furnace breaks, we will do our best to carry on by exemplifying the values, integrity, and love he taught us all.
A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer, and details will be shared once finalized. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Inter-Lakes Community Caregivers, PO Box 78, Center Harbor, NH 03226.

To the Family,
I worked with Bud and Mackie as their CPA for many years, assisting them in their transition from the West Boylston plant to Goddard Industrial Park in Worcester. They were both great people and it was my honor to work with them.
