George Junior Huddleston, age 93, of Quincy, formerly of Liberty, IL, died on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 in the Illinois Veterans Home. He was born on May 18, 1932 in Adams County, IL, the son of George and Faye (Brown) Huddleston. George grew up in Beverly and attended school in both Beverly and Kingston. He joined the United States Navy as a Navy Seabee and served from 1951 to 1959. He married his childhood sweetheart, Bonnie M. Mullins on March 17, 1956 in Beverly Methodist Church. She survives.

George and Bonnie lived in Quincy, Illinois where George worked for Electric Wheel. In 1959 they moved to Beverly, Illinois when he took over the family business. George and his wife ran Huddleston Garage until semi-retirement in 2005. The business was then moved to Liberty, Illinois where their son then took over. George continued to be involved in his sons business until he was in his 80s.

George served on the Liberty School Board, enjoyed going racing with his son and grandson, where he helped work on their cars and sharing stories with fellow race car drivers.

George and his wife were avid bowlers. They placed in several championships throughout the years. George was a St. Louis Cardinal fan.

George never met a stranger, he enjoyed visiting with everyone. He would tease and joke around with all the grandkids, he loved all kids of all ages and would go out of his way to tease them and joke around. His humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
