George Scott Hueston, 83, of Palo Alto, PA, passed away peacefully Friday, May 2nd, at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, Allentown surrounded by his loving family. George was born in Pottsville, PA on February 21, 1942. He graduated from Pottsville Area High School class of 1960 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army working as a mechanic. Following his service, he worked in Garment factories as a foreman. He was employed by Sylray and Alpha Mills. Recently, he was employed by the Pottsville Library. George was the husband of Eileen (Fix) Hueston of 54 years. They raised 3 children together and enjoyed a life full of love and adventure. His life was rich with memories and deeply rooted relationships. He had a warm and friendly presence and was a dedicated husband, father, and friend. George was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter. He belonged to the Anthracite Concourse Association Pigeon Club and bowling clubs.
George is survived by a daughter, Susan McCormick, of Watsontown; three sons Jeffrey, husband of Wendy Hueston, of Pine Grove; Gregory Allen, husband of Marcia Hueston, of Germansville; Michael, husband of Penny Schaeffer, of Pottstown; a sister, Carol Buchinski, of Pottsville.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren Mindy Hueston, Amanda Hueston, Brandon Hueston, Brandon Babcock, Avery McCormick, Carter McCormick, Cheyanne Landis, Maxine Hoffman, 1 Great Grandchild Savannah Hueston, 1 great grandchild expected in June, nieces nephews. Friends and family may call Friday 9 to 11 AM at the Schuylkill Memorial Park Chapel.
Interment at Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery Schuylkill Haven.
