George worked for Dunn’s Welding in Sedalia for 37 years. He was a skilled welder, heavy equipment operator, and was known as a jack-of-all-trades guy.

Surviving are two sons, Randy Johnson (Lashauna), of Tipton, and Gregory Johnson (Jessica), of Boonville; grandchildren, Alonza, George, Elizabeth, Gavin, Dalton, Addison, and Ava; two great-grandchildren, River and Denver; and a sister, Juanita Baker, of Sedalia.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Hunter Johnson; and three brothers, Jim, Johnny, Roger Lee; and a sister, Jackie.

Prayers of the Rosary will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a visitation until 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, at the church.
