I remember George at UMass. His roommate Craig Erickson told me of his death.

Rest in peace Uncle George. You leave behind good memories of an Uncle who loved to get us quirky fun Christmas gifts and even some as adults too. Who else still has their Easter Island tissue box? Will always remember feeding his pet Myrtle the Turtle, fishing off the rocks in Quincy, and many tasty dishes he made. He was the one who stayed close to help take care of my grandmother every day. He shared good memories of Germany and brought cukoo clocks, hummels, and senf into our lives. Uncle George travelled to visit us in Maryland and Croatia and even Austria with Sudipto and his relatives too. We will miss him a lot and hope he is reunited in spirit with my grandparents again. May my Uncle George rest in peace. So greatful we got to visit him in early July and even had an impromptu Lebanese food "picnic" in his living room. He was the Uncle who always found us the quirkiest Christmas toys and even as adults. Who else still has that Easter Island tissue box? I remember his pets like Myrtle the Turtle who stayed in Quincy and later his fish. He told stories of his time in Germany and brought cookoo clocks, Hummels, and "senf" into our lives. He travelled and visited us in Maryland and Croatia and even around Austria with my husbands family too. I remember fishing for flounder off the rocks in Quincy Bay as a kid and a nice seafood lunch later in life at Quincy Marina. He was a steadfast companion for my grandmother in her old age always staying close by to care for her when we were not there. I hope he joins my grandparents in spirit now and glad to have fond memories through all stages of my life.

George was my cousin...I´m so glad we had lunch together about eight years ago.I´m so happy we got in touch...he was a kind gentle man. I enjoyed every moment seeing him again.
