GEORGE KLEIN George Richard Klein, "Dick" to everyone who knew him, 90 of Tipton passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at I.U. Health Tipton Hospital. Dick was born in Kokomo on October 20, 1935 to Karl L. & Leland G. (Roach) Klein. He married Mary E. Colvin on October 29, 1960 and she survives. Dick was a Union Electrician for over 30 years and worked on many commercial projects throughout his career. He was an avid outdoorsman and a dedicated fisherman. Dick served many years as a Utility Regulatory Commissioner. He was a dedicated family man husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors besides his wife Mary include three children, Bryan Klein, Kathi Klein and Pam Fisher as well as a sister, Pat Klein. Dick also has 12 grandchildren, Katie Klein, Britney Klein, Dekan Klein, Olyvia Klein, Brandon Fisher, Jacob Fisher, Bethany VanSickle, Haley Ney, Addie Bell, Moriah Moore, Janae Chang, and Amy Gardner. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Parker Klein and two brothers, Jerry Klein and Chuck Klein. Funeral services for Dick will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7 at the Normanda Christian Church, 8019 W. Division Road, Tipton with Steve Brown presiding. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Friday until the time of the service. Young-Nichols Funeral Home has been entrusted with Dick's services.
