George Anthony "Tony" Knight

George Anthony (Tony) Knight, residing in Princeton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025 surrounded by family in The Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.

Born in Leonardtown, MD on April 6, 1936, he was the son of the late Harold Knight and Janet (Duke) Knight.

Tony was a graduate of the St. Mary's Public School System. Following graduation, he would join the Army and serve in Korea. He would then work until he retired from Dyn Corp Patuxent Naval Air Warfare Center where he worked in the tool's distribution department.

Tony was a kindhearted, caring, and prayerful man who was loved by everyone who knew him.

Tony loved being in service to the Holy Catholic church and community. He served through the choir, the food pantry, and ushering. He had also been a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 30 years.

Along with his parents, Tony is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" (Guy) Knight and four siblings: Katherine VanDevanter, Kiloh, Johnny, and Harry Knight.

He is survived by his four sisters: Mary Klug, Norah Gerstmyer (Tim), Sarah Obniski, and Jane Dombroski (Jim) and his six children: George A Knight, Jr. (Linda) of Holt, FL, Kathy G Bennett (Robert) of Princeton, KY, Harold M (Mike) Knight (Viviane) of Front Royal, VA, Donna M Knight (Robert Huntsberry) of Winchester, VA, Nancy L Luttrell of Winchester, VA, Susan E Schlitter (Dennis) of Crestview, FL. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog Hammy.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Monday, November 10th with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and a service starting at 11:00 AM at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A graveside service will be held at Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650 immediately following the services.
