George Stephen Lindenmuth, 86, of Bethlehem, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025 in his home. He and his wife Barbara A. (Floyd) Lindenmuth celebrated 64 years of marriage in June.
George was the son of Irene (Takacs) Lindenmuth and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Japan, then was employed at AT&T for 35 years.
George loved golfing and even had a hole in one. He and Barbara traveled to Hawaii, Europe, Bermuda, St. Thomas and St. Martin. They also camped for more than 30 years. As a snow bird he spent 2 months in Florida and a month in Myrtle Beach every year.
Through three generations George attended all his children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events and tournaments, taking him as far as the Poconos and Kentucky. He loved his grandchildren above all else. Their favorite time spent with Grandpop was camping and their trips to Disney.
Surviving with his wife Barbara are two daughters, Tammy Ann Graham of Denver, NC and Donna Marie Rosario of Bethlehem; a son George, Jr. of Allentown; two sisters, Sandra Lucas and Roberta Lindenmuth both of Lower Macungie Township; brothers-in-law, Edward of Bethlehem and Robert (Gloria) of Bath; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the best and will be greatly missed. Rest in Heaven, George – You earned it.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday, January 23, in Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday from 10 AM – 11 AM in the church. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the charity of one's choice.
