George Clinton Logan III, 80 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Calvert Manor of Rising Sun, MD. Born January 12, 1945 in Port Deposit, MD, he was the son of the late George C. Jr., and Ruth Barr Logan.
Mr. Logan was a member of the Maryland Army National Guard having served from November 1964 until June 1992. He served as a Sergeant First Class and later as a Warehouse Supervisor until June 2004, at the Maryland Army National Guard in Havre de Grace, MD, and was a member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD. Upon retiring in June 2004, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren. He was also a member of the Perryville Little League, where he volunteered with field maintenance and coaching.
Mr. Logan is survived by his wife, Wenda Preston Logan; son, George Clinton Logan IV, and wife, Donna; daughter, Audra Lynn Logan; grandchildren, George C. Logan V, and Brooklyn N. Logan; and one great grandson expected in February 2026.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Logan was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy L. Peters.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Amedisys Hospice Foundation in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2025, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Mr. Josh Rebman of Freedom Church of Rising Sun, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
