MAHAN, George, age 95, a longtime resident of Springfield Township, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

George was the beloved husband of the late Ruth Janet (nee Klare) Mahan, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion. He was a devoted and loving father to Janet (Allen) Cobbs, Judy (Cindy) Mahan, Joanne (Bruce) Belcher, Jeff (Karen) Mahan, Jim (Judy) Mahan, Theresa (Tom) Bechtold, and Mike Mahan.

He was a cherished grandfather to Bethany (Brian), Kyle (Cassie), Hanna (Kevin), Luke (Rachel), Jesse (Lauryn), Nick (Amber), Ben (Samantha), Abbey (Nick), Alexandra (Ryan), Erin, Shannon, Trevor (Lindsey), Mallory (Brent), Dominick (Ashley), Kellie Jo, Josh (Heather) and Kyle (Jessica) and a proud great-grandfather of 28.

George was a longtime member of St. Bartholomew Church, where he generously gave of his time as a dedicated coach and mentor to many. He was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his team. After retirement, George and Ruth enjoyed traveling together on bus trips, creating cherished memories along the way.

George proudly served his country in the United States Navy, a commitment that reflected his deep sense of duty and patriotism. He will be remembered for his steady presence, strong values, and unwavering devotion to his family and to his country.

Visitation will be held at Neidhard Young Funeral Home, 7401 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 9:30 AM until the time of the Blessing Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

George was a friend, a mentor, and almost like a father figure while i worked with him at SibcyCline. I always remember him as a man of integrity and honesty. And the most stubborn man i ever knew!! Which led to a lot of fun debates. He was such a good man and spoke so highly of his wife and children.
