George Mason, Jr. Obituary
George Dimpsey Mason, Jr., age 74, a lifelong resident of Brunswick County, VA, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
George’s favorite activities were hunting, fishing and working on the farm. He was especially passionate about raising and training his hunting dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Ann Mason; his children, Betty Jo Allen, Michael Wayne Mason, George Allen Parrish (Crystal), and Crystal Lee Parrish; grandchildren, Cassie Phipps (Marquil), Joshua Allen (Megan Reed), Dustin Wilborn (Kaitlyn), Dylan Mason, Kaylan Mason (Tyler), Emily Parrish, and Savannah Parrish, numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Finch (Edward) and Nancy Poythress.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Ebenezer Community Church in Warfield, VA, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
