I am deeply saddened, Grandad, that no one notified us of your passing. I should have been more attentive, as your uncharacteristic silence regarding our upcoming fishing trip was a noticeable deviation from your usual enthusiasm. I cherish the memories of our conversations and will profoundly miss your affectionate expressions, particularly when you would say, 'Grandbaby, I love you.' You will forever be etched in my heart and remembered fondly. I have now gained another guardian angel watching over me.
