George “Edgar” Myers, a cherished figure in his community, was born on June 7, 1951. He passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. Edgar's life was marked by his dedication to farming and his deep connection to the land. He was best known for his iconic wagon pulled by his beloved mule team, Pete and Dan, which brought joy to many in his community.

Edgar's legacy continues through his loving family. He is survived by his daughter, Taletha Myers Russell, and his son, George Daniel Myers. His grandchildren, Timothy D. Myers, Dustin Russell, Dixon Russell, Autumn Lawrence, and Jerry (Gordy) Lawrence, carry forward his spirit and values, while his great-grandchildren, Isaac Glasgow, Khilyn Windham, and Elena Lawrence, will grow up hearing stories of their grandfather’s passionate life. He is also survived by his brother, Randy A. Myers, who along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, will carry forward the memories of Edgar's warmth and generosity.

Edgar was preceded in death by his father, George W. Myers; his mother, Emily Elhura King; his wife, Sarah A. Myers; and his brother, Don Myers. Each of these individuals played a vital role in his life, and their love and guidance shaped the man he became.

As we remember George Edgar Myers, we celebrate a life that was rich in love, family, and devotion to the agrarian lifestyle he cherished. His presence will be profoundly missed but his impact will never be forgotten.

A memorial Wagon ride will be held in his honor and announced at a later date. Followed by a private burial on his homestead.
