Deepest condolences. I am just finding out about this now in Tennessee. I really enjoyed serving with George for 12 years on the Gr. Lowell Technical School Committee. He was a wonderful and dedicated public servant. May he rest in peace.

Susan and Darragh, I remember the first time I met your Dad when we made our annual pre school trip to Lowell to visit our grandparents. George came to their home dressed in his formal Marine uniform , rifle in hand and performed a routine with the rifle that my father loved. I was very young and it made quite an impression! As I got older I got to know cousin George very well during many business trips to Boston or his visits to Nova Scotia.
We both loved politics despite being from different countries and I always enjoyed his company. He lived a very full life as his obit describes and I am sure all the memories will be positive ones after this difficult period.
Condolences to your family

So sorry to hear of George´s passing. I 1st met him in the 60´s when we both worked for MA Bell in Lowell then again many years later when I worked at Greater Lowell. He was such an amazing guy who truly cared for everyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.
