George A. Page, 84, of Southington passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the HOCC at New Britain General. He was the loving husband of Joan (Machia) Page for 62 years.
He was born May 6, 1939 in Ludlow, MA and was the son of the late Daniel V. and Cassandra Isabel (Hoyle) Page.
George was a Professor of Chemistry for 30 years at Central CT State University. He was a member of the American Chemical Society for 60 years.
George was an avid camper. He enjoyed hiking and playing golf with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Cynthia Page of Southington; three grandchildren, Elysse, Duncan and Dannon Page; daughter-in-law Deborah Page of Andover and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Andrew Page and two brothers, Robert and Daniel Page.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will be privately held with his family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
