We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of George Joseph Posner, age 74, of Bensalem, PA. George passed peacefully, surrounded by love and prayers, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Born in Philadelphia on November 4, 1951, he was the son of the late Anna Mae (Clemins) and George Posner.
George was the devoted husband of Loretta Posner, with whom he shared a loving marriage since their wedding at St. Matthew’s on February 9, 1974. He dedicated his career as a Bricklayer and as a Business Agent for Bricklayers Union Local 1, where he was respected for his hard work and commitment. As a devout Catholic, he was a life-long parishioner and usher at Our Lady of Fatima, Bensalem. In his spare time, he cherished his moments with his wife, children and grandchildren: fishing, going out on his boat, attending sporting events and family gatherings. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and reading the daily newspaper, with his Old English Sheepdog, January, right by his side.
He is survived by his cherished wife Loretta; two adoring daughters, Celeste Allerton and Loretta A. Lachewitz and spouses; and two dearest sons, George F. Posner and Frank Posner and spouses. George’s legacy also lives on through his 14 treasured grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at George’s visitation on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M., followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. Both services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. His final resting place will be at Resurrection Cemetery, in Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers, mass card enrollments are requested in George’s name.
