George William "Bill" Prince Jr.

1941 - 2023

George William Prince Jr, also known as Bill, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023, at the age of 82 in his hometown of Augusta, Georgia.

Born on January 17, 1941, in Augusta, Bill was a beloved father, and grandfather. Bill was known for his honesty, loyalty, and quick wit. He touched the lives of many through his kindness and genuine care for others. In his professional life, Bill was the proud owner of Bill's Place. He dedicated his time and efforts to the business that had been family operated in downtown Augusta for over 80 years.

Bill is survived by his loving son, Shane Prince (Jennifer), his devoted daughter, Kathy Rogers (Ken), and his son, Bill Prince Jr. (Annette). He was also a proud grandfather to Lauren Rogers, Jacob Rogers, and Ella Prince. Bill's family was his greatest joy, and he shared many treasured moments with them.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Westview Cemetery,2051 Division Street, Augusta, GA. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
