George Probert Obituary

Probert, George W.
CLIFTON PARK - George W. Probert, 81, of Clifton Park, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at his residence.
Born in Englewood, N.J., he was the son of the late William and Alma Bennett Probert and was a graduate of Bergenfield High School, Rutgers University (Bachelor's degree in Engineering) and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he earned his Master's Degree.
Mr. Probert retired from General Electric in Schenectady, where he had been a Mechanical Engineer.
George loved boating, German Shepherds and spending time at the family lake house in Locke Mills, Maine. He had been a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Clifton Park.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary K. Sulik Probert, on May 8, 2016.
Devoted father of Jennifer K. Probert, DVM (significant other, Noah Brother); and dear brother of Joan Seaman (brother-in-law, Peter); also survived his nephews, Matthew and Jeffrey.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Jonesville Cemetery,
