George was a graduate of Freehold High School, Class of 1963.
He was a proud 55-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 400, Wall Township.
The 600 members of Local No. 400 were his second family. He was an active member of the local's retiree group and served on the South Jersey Central Labor Council.
George was a member of Olive Branch Lodge No. 16, F. &A.M., B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1454, and attended Monmouth Post No. 54, American Legion, all of Freehold.
He loved his hometown of Freehold where he was known to many of his friends growing up as the strongest man in Freehold displaying tremendous strength as a lifelong "gym rat" lifting weights up to the age of 80.
George was loved by family, friends, and community, never missing a chance to march in the town's parades.
Surviving are his wife, Gina Rossi; his children, a son, Kenny Rossi and wife Lisa, and two daughters, Lori Lutzky and husband Robert, and Luci Caruso and husband Joseph; Gina's children, Tom Montulet and wife Shannon, Michael Montulet and wife Maria, and Patrick Briers; his brother, Charles R. Rossi; and ten grandchildren.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, East Pleasant Grove Road, Jackson Township on Thursday at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory to the soon to be formed IBEW Local 400 Apprenticeship Scholarship Fund, PO Box 1256, Belmar, NJ 07719 would be appreciated.

I liked George very much. He helped me many times in my career showing me how to be a better union brother and to solve some problems.
