I was shocked and saddened by the unfortunate news of the passing away of my friend and colleague Dr George Rondtree. ( I was on the West Coast in April and fell sick while in Santa Barbara).
Dr Roundtree embodied the spirit of Social Work, our mutual calling. As Associate Dean, he helped me rebuild LSU School of Social Work in mid-eighties. We worked together until retired.
I looked forward to meeting him on Friday-monthly meetings of the Group of Retired Social Workers.
We pray his heavenly abode soul rest in eternal peace.
Our deepest sympathies to Mrs Roundtree, her children and grand children.
Brij Mohan, Dean Emeritus, LSU School of Social Work

Dr. Roundtree was my professor at LSU. He reminded us to recognize the value of our profession. He was also a treasured and respected member of our RSW group. Rest well, Dr. Roundtree, in the arms of our beloved Savoir.

Doc, you will forever put a smile on my face. With your quick wit, and great jokes you always made me laugh. You will be dearly missed by myself and my family. My son will always have an extra picture now that youre gone. Im proud to have known you...Derek

My prayers go out to George's family. I had the honor of being in the Senior Adult Sunday School Dept at Hebron Baptist Church. His wife, Nell was my Sunday School teacher. I loved and appreciated George so much and love Nell with all my heart. GEORGE WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL GENTLEMAN AS WELL AS HIS KINDNESS. I WAS A CLOWN IN THE CHURCH MINISTRY, THE Master's Clowns. My name was Precious and that is what George called me. Rarely did he call me Betsy. Since the 2016 flood, I've been residing with my daughter, Kay. Will not be able to attend the wake and or service; however, you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
