Dear Max and to all of the Schindler Families, from our Family (the Dattilo´s) to yours our deepest sympathies for the passing of a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather. While we sent a personal message to Max and Family, we wanted to share that we are persons who knew of George Schindler, but never having met him in person. We ate at his restaurants, knew of his generosity and kindness with partners, staff and patrons but it wasn´t until we met Max - did we come to know of him as the cherished husband, father, and grandfather. From that knowledge we recognize the significant loss to you all of his worldly influence on cherished family. From our Family to yours we pray and ask that you remember and celebrate his life with pride, thanks, praise, and hopeful prayers always knowing he will be the same even stronger faithful voice in your ear and heart continuing to watch over and guide each of you in his most loving way with God´s blessings as well.

Back in the early 80´s If you had twenty dollars for the weekend you saved it for Sunday night and went to By George´s. George´s first venture. It was Oldies night but the place was packed with the young and restless. It was amazing watching from afar as George parlayed this bar into a family of wonderful restaurants.
