George Schultz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Page Funeral Home - Burlington on Jan. 19, 2026.
George "Barney" Schultz Jr., 79, formerly of Cinnaminson and Edgewater Park, New Jersey, passed away on January 17, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with frontal lobe dementia.

Barney was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life centered on hard work, family, and community. He built a long and respected career as a financial advisor with Benefit Consultants Group. Before that, Barney spent more than 20 years in the real estate and mortgage industry as the owner of Lamp Post Realty, building his career on trust, relationships, and doing things with honesty and discipline.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vera "Kiki" Cutry (Joe) and George Schultz Sr. (Fran), and his brother, Joseph Cutry Jr (Anne)., all of whom he held close throughout his life.

Barney is survived by his beloved wife, Miki Schultz; his children, Stephanie Aubrey (John), Elizabeth Forcellini (Guido), George Schultz III (Ashley), and Michael Schultz (Abby); and his cherished grandchildren: Rebecca Forcellini (Dave), Tyler Aubrey, Abigail Schultz (Olivia), Brooke Forcellini, Nicholas Aubrey, Jackson Schultz, Zachary Aubrey, Natalie Schultz, Olivia Schultz, Andrew Forcellini, and Matthew Schultz. He is also survived by his sisters, Louise Capri(Allen), Barbara Schultz, Sherri Cutrie (Arlene) and his brother, Paul Schultz (Terri), as well as many nieces and nephews.

A true family man, Barney gave generously of his time as a volunteer youth baseball commissioner and coach, served on the Edgewater Park Township Board, and remained a fiercely loyal Philadelphia sports fan through every high and low. He loved traveling the world alongside his wife, especially his winters in Puerto Vallarta, and creating unforgettable summer vacations on Long Beach Island. He enjoyed mixing a proper Manhattan, hosting legendary New Year's Day parties, and-most of all-cherished his lifelong friendships. In his younger years, if you couldn't find him, he was either at the Roma Club or on a "fishing trip" with the boys; in later years, it was DeLorenzo's Pizza or his legendary "big-blue" recliner. And while many things were negotiable, no one dared touch his perfectly combed hair.

Barney's legacy lives on in the stories told, the traditions carried forward, and the many lives he touched through his loyalty, steady presence, and strong leadership.

A viewing will be held at Page Funeral Home in Burlington, New Jersey, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a service to follow.
