George Smith Obituary
George Morgan Smith, age 81 of Horse Cave passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Signature Health Care of Glasgow. He was a welder and a former employee of Bluegrass Dairy. He enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors.
He is the son of the late Charles Smith and Helen Roshea Smith.
He is preceded in death by his wife. Norma Jean Smith; his sisters, Carroll Smith, Darlene Smith, and Patricia Harris; one brothers, Joe Smith.
He is survived by his four children, Virginia "Sammy" Smith (Rikki Nesbitt), Kathy Martinez, Woodland, CA, Mike Smith (Corri), Glasgow, KY, Tim Smith (Trina), Edmonton, KY; six grandchildren, Alex Smith, Ashley Pea, Cynthia Smith, Kristopher Martinez, Scott Martinez, Robert Martinez; one great-grandchild, Aurora Grace Nichole Lile; his grand-puppy, Angel Nesbitt Smith.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM CT on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CT on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cherry Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
