My deepest sympathy to the Spiro family. Some of my fondest high school memories were from working at the Golden Rod & the friends I made there ("SB"K)! I was always so gullible & George would get me everytime. The memories are something I will cherish forever.

My deepest sympathy to the Spiro family. It's been eleven years since I last worked at the Goldenrod and the mention of George's name still brings a smile to my face. The memories and laughs shared with George will always remain close to me.

Our condolences to the family. My family, especially my Mom, loves Goldenrod. Even when we moved out to California, when in NH, we always had to do a visit to the restaurant. Sincerely, Elizabeth

Beverly and Family~ George was one of the good guys! You certainly knew where you stood with him! I had the pleasure of serving with him on the Board of Directors, I admired his dedication to the Church whether in the Church proper or in the Church Kitchen or in the Food tent at Glendi!
He would always make me laugh on Sunday mornings as it would just be he and I showing up on time. I think of him often early on Sunday mornings, it hasn't been the same without him on the Board.
I will continue to pray for God to rest his precious soul. May God comfort all of you during this difficult time. May His Memory Be Forever eternal!
Fondly,
~Maria Dongas~

To the Spiro Family,
I was one of the lucky ones to know George. When I was a young kid I worked for him at Golden Rod and became part of the "family" there. I will miss his humor, his smile, the white t-shirt and checkered pants he always wore to work, the loving way he'd yelled at you to get to work and then smile at you but one thing I'll never forget is George's way of telling you to be a good girl..He'd say "Keep that asprin between your knees"...I'll never forget that or him. Your family was blessed in many ways.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I worked for George when I was just a kid(20 yrs ago) I loved Golden Rods and had so many good memories that I will cherish. I still go their when I come back to NH for visits, I bring my children and tell them so many stories about working there. George was a great person, very caring and was always their for us kids when we needed a job. He'll be missed!

George always made sure that all of us had a way to get home after closing up at Goldenrod, even if he had to drive a few of us himself (which he did many times). He watched out for us. I'll never forget that. He'll be missed.
