My husband and I were his neighbors on Baitsell Drive in Oswego. Plus, Doug and I worked at SUNY Oswego with George. In addition, I know Martha because I'm a quilter friend of hers. Sending prayers to all.

so sorry for your loss. I can't believe I just saw him at our reunion. Our families were intertwined when we were younger and hadn't had that much contact in our older years.

Jess, Jason, Cindy and Family, my sincere condolences. George exemplified gentlemen like character. Anyone who knows George appreciated his servants heart. He spent weeks, perhaps months, helping renovate my basement, building a bathroom, bedrooms, plumbing, electrical. He once even stood and kneeled in my attic, blowing insulation for hours, to keep our family warm in winter. He helped me sell a home, never missed a family birthday party, and was always willing to serve in whatever capacity was asked of him. The world was a better place with George in it, and his life will undoubtedly remain alive and cherished within the hearts of the many he touched.
