GEORGE W. "BOB" STRAW
POSEYVILLE, INDIANA
George Winford "Bob" Straw, 87, of Poseyville, Indiana, born March 20, 1938, to Delbert Edward and Rachel Lucille (Jones) Straw in Keensburg, Illinois, passed away, Friday, May 2, 2025 at his home in Poseyville, Indiana.
He graduated from New Harmony High School and worked for Whirlpool for 40 years and Busler Enterprises. He was a Posey County Commissioner from 1980 – 1984 and was on the Saulmon Cemetery Board of Directors. He also worked for 21 years at the Indiana State Police Post doing maintenance where he got special recognition while there.
Surviving are his wife whom he married in 1967: Alice Ann (Lang) Straw; sons: Kevin Straw (Tresa), Scott Straw (Vicki), Mike Crumbacher (Rita) and Bobby Straw (Angie); 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter: Tamara Koontz and brothers: Joe and Delbert Straw.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana with burial to follow in Saulmon near Poseyville, Indiana.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Saulmon Cemetery, c/o Jeff Mobley, 9807 S 1075 W, Poseyville, Indiana 47633.

I just found out about Bob´s passing. He was such a kind man. Always enjoyed talking to him at the cemetery. My sympathy to the family.
