EULESS - George Franklin Strong III, 56, passed away on June 18, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite C and D, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
George was born on May 4, 1968, to the late George F. Strong Jr. and Glenda Nelson in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. George was known for his vibrant, larger-than-life personality and his love for life's adventures.
George graduated from Northwest High School in Justin, Texas and furthered his education at TCC. He was owner and president of Manufactured Metals Corporation I. He continued the family business after his stepfather retired. He was a successful businessperson who owned and operated his own general contracting company, dedicating himself to his work up until his health declined.
A man of passions, George loved the Dallas Cowboys, hunting, fishing, boating, fast cars, and dancing. George's life was marked by joy, resilience, and a deep love for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and remembered as a remarkable individual with a big heart who brought laughter and happiness to all who knew him.
George was preceded in death by his father, George Franklin Strong Jr; sister, Marie Antoinette; and both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
He is survived by his loving mother, Glenda and stepfather, Paul Nelson; his children, Marisa Zamora, Jacob Strong and Rachel Strong (Logan Brockway); girlfriend, Elizabeth Knight; sister, Shannon Pennington (Kent Fults); stepsister, Stephanie Queen and husband, Robert; nephews, Robert Pennington (Victoria Fraser) and Aiden Abel; aunts, Cathy Strong of Hurst Texas and Piccola Burnett of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and numerous cousins and loved ones.
