George Symon Obituary

George William Symon

George William Symon, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

George was born on December 7, 1942, in Greensburg, KY and passed away in his home in Island Lake, on the afternoon of May 7, 2025, at the age of 82.

George was proceeded in death by his wife Sue and daughters, Kimberly and Stacey. He is survived by his son, Scott, his four grandchildren and his great grandson.

George served 20 years in the US Army as a Sergeant First Class. He was known for his helpful demeanor, his great stories and his big heart.

A visitation will be held at Kisselburg- Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda, on May 13 ,2025, from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, lovetotherescue.org, in George’s name.
