I have known George for over 40 years. Our parents were great friends for many years, so we all grew up together. I was very young and so was George. Our family spent many evenings at their home of six children. We always had great conversations and many home cooked meals by his mom, Natalie. It was definitely old school, not like it is today. We played, talked, just everyone having a wonderful time. I remember he went off to College and didn't see much of him after that. I know everyone in his family, including George, never missed a birthday party or a Christmas Eve get together, he had a very close knit family. I remember each of them and still keep in touch. I was in total shock when I heard the news. He was like another brother to me and my family. A wonderful family that all eventually moved away and had families of their own. I know George preached at many churches throughout his life, that was what he was meant to do. He loved his wife, and of course his children and his grandchildren. George was the oldest of five siblings, which all have families of their own. Debbie was his forever love of his life though. They had been married a very long time and she also helped George with his ministries. I have lost a wonderful friend, but I have many memories to share and keep close to my heart. I became close to Debbie after George's Mother Natalie died in 2015. Debbie was so sweet and kind, she was a great wife to George, I know he admired her and she adored him. In closing I know George is with his Mom and Dad, and I hope he finds my dad as well in Heaven. He has left a legacy for all of us to remember him by. God had a plan for George and although he was taken too soon, he is on a mission in Heaven. We love you George and will never forget you or your fine work.
