George Thomas Terrill Jr.

George Thomas Terrill, Jr., age 80, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully at his home on February 2, 2018. Born on January 15, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late George Thomas Terrill, Sr. and Rose (Stackhouse) Terrill. George was a U.S. Army veteran, serving two tours in Vietnam before retiring after over 20 years of service. He then went on to work for the Veteran's Administration before branching out on his own as a self-employed truck driver. George greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, landscaping his three acre property, music and will always be remembered for his amazing dancing skills. George is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debbie Terrill of Rising Sun, MD; daughters: Dawn Satterfield of Clearwater, FL, Kelly Stesch and her husband, Dave, of Westminster, MD, and Tammy Pearce of Ash, NC; sons: Michael Terrill and his wife, Michelle, of Everett, PA, and Steven Terrill of Rising Sun, MD; brother, Allen Terrill of Owings Mills, MD; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his son, George Terrill, and his brother, Robert Terrill. A celebration of George's life will be held at 12pm on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911, where friends and family may visit beginning at 11am. Burial will follow at West Nottingham Cemetery.
