George Coronado Torres, Junior, walked into the peace of his Heavenly Father's arms on November 8, 2025. George, "Ju-ey" to his many nieces and nephews, was born on August 1, 1994, at Methodist University Hospital in Dallas, TX. George was born to George C. Torres and Katherine Parker Torres.
George graduated from Lometa High School in 2013. One of his proudest accomplishments was achieving the rank of Eagle Scout while at Lometa. George went on to become a welder; he also learned construction and steel erection. In 2019, George helped build I O Ranch Processing, and then continued his career at I O as the freezer coordinator. He developed friendships with many of his customers. George took great pride in his work, and was integral to the success of the company. George lived in Hamilton, and worked at I O until his death.
George had a penchant for "Bad Dad Jokes", and had a contagious belly laugh. He frequently led the competition at work for the "best" joke of the day. George was a gentleman and polite to the core. To know George was to know a kind soul.
George was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Torres and his father in 1999. George is survived by his mother, his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He loved his nieces and nephews, and was so proud of their successes.
A Rosary will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Friday, November 14 at 6 pm with visitation to follow until 8 pm. The Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lometa on Saturday, November 15, at 10 am with burial to follow at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa.
Pallbearers will be Robert Torres, Charlie Wagner, John Louis Torres, Malik Torres, Frank Torres, DT Torres, Chuck Torres, Alex Torres, Jordan Livesay and Landin Livesay.
The family requests that guests wear navy blue, as that was George's favorite color.
