The Truells were great neighbors and friends when they lived in Snyder. I am sorry to hear this news.

I have to admit that I had not thought about George until just recently when I read of his passing in the obituaries. Much earlier in my career in human resources, I had encountered George through professional contacts. He was a great help to me in my early days in the profession and then later as I built my own consulting activities. I believe, however, I was still living in Central New York when we first met. I did not, unfortunately, follow up on our connection when I moved to Western New York about 10 years ago. Although we were both products of Cornell's ILR School and had many other associations in common, we lost touch some time ago. I regret that fact. I want to express to his family and friends, however, that I cherish the contacts we did have, albeit some time ago. I remember him as the consummate professional and someone who would readily reach out to assist someone else just starting out in a field he no doubt loved. I also too well understand the condition of Alzheimer's as my mother is in the latter stage of that disease as well. Be assured at this time of loss that there is now a hole in the life exepreinces of many he encountered; a hole now filled with gratitude.
