George W. Utt

George W. Utt, Jr., 87, of Hot Springs, died January 26, 2011. He was born on February 26, 1923, at San Angelo, Texas, to the late George W. Utt, Sr. and Zela May Hansen Utt. He is preceded in death by three wives, Doris Williams Utt, Lois Lambert Utt and Dora Hudgens; two brothers, Earl Utt and Walter Lee Utt; two sisters, Opal Utt Lindeman and Eva Utt Townsend; one step-son, Steve Lambert; and one step-son-in-law, Joe Martin. A member of the Hot Springs Church of Christ, George was a United States Army veteran, and retired from Conoco Oil Company after 34 years of service. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Juanita Utt of Hot Springs; two step-daughters, Linda Martin of Odessa, Texas, and Delores and Hal McMakin of Grand Saline, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Nelda Utt of Red Bluff, California; and four nieces. Services will be Saturday, 1:00 PM, at Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Ardie Brown officiating. Graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Odessa, Texas at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 2, with Virgil Webb officiating. Visitation will be from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday evening.
