George Washington Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Caring Cremations - Chicago on Sep. 2, 2024.
George Washington was born on October 9, 1949, in Chicago, IL, to Hezekiah Washington and Pearl Greer. Both parents, Hezekiah Washington and Pearl Greer, Bonus Dad, Mr. John D. Greer, and sister, Lucille Batton, preceded him in death. George, known for his intelligence and kindness, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024, in his hometown of Chicago, IL.
George was a proud graduate of Simeon High School, where he cultivated a love for knowledge that continued throughout his life. He had many interests, including an unwavering passion for reading, a deep appreciation for music, and a gift for making lasting connections with everyone he met. In his final year, George found immense joy in the company of his son, daughter-in-law, and great-grandchildren, particularly during the festive holiday season.
George has peacefully passed away and is now in heaven. His suffering, sorrow, and restlessness have come to an end. He has found eternal peace in the heavenly abode, reunited with his beloved parents and sister.
Left to honor George and remember his love are his brother, Cain Washington of Chicago, IL; his devoted son, DeAndre (Lola) Albright Sr. of Bloomington, IL; his four granddaughters, LeChe Albright, Kennetta Thomas, Kennola Thomas, and Alexis Albright; his two grandsons, DeAndre Albright Jr. and Kywuan Albright; and his three cherished great-granddaughters, Lola-Ann Smith, Le'Onna Davis, Lauren Spicer, and only great-grandson, Bryson Spicer.
It is with great respect and admiration that we remember the life of George Washington, a man whose existence was a testament to the divine creator. His memory will forever be cherished by his beloved family, loyal friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Acknowledgments: We deeply appreciate your kind expression of sympathy in our time of sorrow. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.
