At the Rocky View General Hospital, Tommy 'Boots' Watson passed away on Sunday November 30, 2025. He will be remembered by his broken hearted and loving friend, partner and recently announced fiancé, Theresa. He will also be sadly missed by his daughter, Tammy Dawn (Joshua); and grandchildren, Nathan and Niyah .
Tom was born in British Columbia to June and Carl Watson and was later adopted as and honourary part of the family by Alan and Marjorie Fitger. So Tom is also survived by his brothers, Jim & Don and sister, Jennie. He is pre-deceased by his brothers, Freddie, Danny and Howard, his sister Florence and brothers Jack, David and Bill; his nephews Freddy, Donny and Russell; as well as by his niece Mardele. Tom will be missed by countless nieces and nephews scattered throughout the country whom he loved even though he didn't show it but that was Tom.
Tom's sense of humor his sarcasm and his fashion sense made him who he was. He always wore a black leather jacket, white T-shirt, jeans and of course his cowboy boots which always had to be polished to a shine.
Music was so much a part of him - the Rolling Stones being his number one band. His love of animals and reading came next. Then there was Buzzard - his bestest bestest friend.
Remember Tom or Boots as he was called. Don't be sad remember the good times and how he made you laugh. Jeff and Amanda, there was a special place in his heart for you and Timmy.
Rest in peace Tommy you will be forever missed. Rock on in heaven, rock on in Rock Heaven.
A Celebration of Tom's Life will take place at 11118 Sacramento Drive SW, Calgary on Saturday December 13, 2025. It will be an Open House starting at 1:00pm. Please bring memories of Tom.
