George Frederick William Weber III, 74, returned to his Heavenly Father on September 17th, 2025. He was born on January 9th, 1951 in South Bend, IN, to the late George Frederick William Jr. and Virginia (Stanz) Weber. On April 5, 1975 he married Margaret "Peggy" Klaybor in Christ the King Catholic Church in South Bend, IN.

George is survived by his children, Gregory John Weber and Carol Ann Weber Platz (Jeffery), along with two grandchildren, Christopher Michael Platz and Nicholas Jeffrey-Jude Platz. He is also survived by his brother Emil (Deborah) Weber and preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Margaret Weber.

George was a 1969 graduate of South Bend Central High School and a 1974 graduate of The University of Notre Dame College of Architecture. He worked as a partner at Korbuly, Graf, Weber Architects/Forum Architects for 35 plus years before he sold his share of the business. He had a profound love of all things Notre Dame and worked part-time within the Notre Dame Ticket Office for 35+ years before retiring in 2020. He fondly enjoyed meeting the football recruits and getting to watch the Saturday home games from the field.

George loved his family deeply and encouraged them in all aspects of their lives. He was always just a phone call away no matter where anyone was. He loved cheering on his children in various sporting events from coaching little league games to being a very vocal supporter in the stands. He loved his two grandsons so very much and cherished all their time together and opportunities to take them to any Notre Dame sporting event. He was and always will be the Best 'Opa' to his grandsons always grinning a bright smile, a big 'Hello', and hug at the door.

We all have a million and one memories of George that end with laughter. He was always able to walk the fine line between mischief and professionalism. He was an accomplished golfer and a meticulous groundskeeper of his personal yard. He had a profound talent for finding humor in the everyday and was always willing to give of his time and talent to organizations and friends. He was also more than willing to vocalize his opinion of the referee's calls at sporting events, and his children always hoped they got to ride home with their mother if they were ever to take a called third strike.

He will be missed more than words can tell. He may be physically out of sight, but he will never be out of mind.

We love you DAD!
