George D. Wenrich, 76, of Womelsdorf, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Penn State St. Joseph Hospital. He was the husband of Corinne K. (Matthew) Wenrich, with whom he would have shared 25 years of marriage on April 8th.
George, a son of the late Merlin and Helen (Yoder) Wenrich, was born in Reading. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Heath A. Wenrich, fiancé of Jen Weller, and Chris L. Wenrich, husband of Brittany; two grandchildren, Evelyn, and Korben Wenrich; three sisters, Linda Cox, Judy Brossman, and Loretta Lavoie; and a step son, Wayne Birch, husband of Sue. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Wenrich.
He was a US Marine Corps Veteran.
George graduated from Conrad Weiser High School in 1966 and retired in 2010 from Sonoco.
He was an active member of the VFW Post 6558, Womelsdorf.
Services will be held at 12:30 PM, Wednesday, Mar. 19th, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. A viewing will be held from 11:30 AM -12:30 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
