George Whitmire Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Madonna Funeral Home - Passaic on Dec. 30, 2025.
George K. Whitmire was born the fifth child to his mother on the 5th day of December 1972, in Passaic, New Jersey, to James and Lunell Whitmire. From an early age, George displayed a strong sense of determination and responsibility-qualities that would shape the man he became.

George was educated in the Passaic Public School system, where he developed a solid foundation rooted in discipline, perseverance, and hard work. These values carried him throughout his life and into his chosen profession.

Following in his father's footsteps, George pursued a career in trucking, a profession he respected deeply and took great pride in. As a dedicated truck driver, George understood the meaning of sacrifice and commitment. He spent long hours on the road to provide for his family, embracing the challenges of his work with integrity, reliability, and perseverance.

Above all else, family was George's greatest joy. He was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Jahniyah Whitmire, whose happiness and well-being were always at the center of his heart. In recent months, George embraced the role of grandfather and cherished every moment with his infant grandson, Jahreem K. Whitmire-Moneus, who brought him renewed joy, pride, and hope.

George was preceded in death by his father, James Whitmire; his brother, David Eaddy; and his nephew, Michael White.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Jahniyah Whitmire; his cherished infant grandson, Jahreem K. Whitmire-Moneus; his loving mother, Lunell Whitmire; three brothers, Larry Eaddy (Mary), Bud Flowers, and Michael Flowers (Tabitha); and one sister, Yolanda Smith (Willie). He also leaves behind his fiancée, best friend, and the love of his life, Serena Simmons, a host of nieces and nephews, along with extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.
