George Xenakis Obituary

He was a graduate of Gordon Technical High School in Chicago and was also a United States Army Veteran. George worked for more than 25 years exercising horses and working at racetracks in Illinois. A good-hearted man, George loved going fishing with his brother Mick, hunting morels, watching eagles and taking nature rides, gardening, and baking. He was also a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton.
George is survived by his sister, Marcia Faye, of Terre Haute and his brother, Michael F. Xenakis, of Linton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private services will be observed by George's family. He will be laid to rest with his parents at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, Illinois.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton of Walton Funeral Service.
