Georgeann (Lickas) Mitchell
Age 93, of Shaler/McCandless, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 27, 2023,
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born on February 14, 1930.
Georgeann is survived by her daughter Joan (Mitchell) (David) Bice. Her seven Grandchildren
Elizabeth (Jarriet) Mitchell, Kathleen (Mitchell) Gujski, Christopher (Janell) Baucom, Robert
(Hilary) Mitchell, Matthew (Jennie) Baucom, Cameron (Rachel) Mitchell and Ethan Bice. Her
seven Great Grandchildren Abigail Baucom, Noah Baucom, Samuel Baucom, Alexis Baucom,
Maclyn Mitchell, Harper Mitchell and Jackson Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Mitchell, her daughter Susan (Mitchell)
(Steve) Baucom, her son Bob (Jill) Mitchell, and her son Paul (Liz) Mitchell.
Georgeann was a kind, compassionate, and loving person. She had a remarkable ability to
connect with others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her warm and welcoming
nature ensured that no one remained a stranger. Georgeann found immense joy in her roles as a
wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Georgeann was a devoted member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she found solace and a
sense of community. A service will be held in her honor at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (1719
Mt. Royal Blvd.) on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Georgeann's memory.
Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in honor of her husband, Bob,
and son, Bobby, to the Juvenile Diabetes Association in honor of her son, Paul, and to the Emory
Winship Cancer Institute in honor of her daughter, Susan. Any donations are appreciated.
Georgeann Mitchell will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her
legacy of love, kindness, and connection will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
